Clear, comfortable vision starts with the right care team. TK Optometry combines advanced diagnostic technology with genuinely personalized attention to deliver eye care that goes far beyond a standard exam.
TK Optometry was established with a clear mission: to provide Brooklyn patients with a level of eye care that is thorough, honest, and genuinely patient-centered. From the very first visit, patients notice something different here. There is no rushing, no vague explanations, and no one-size-fits-all approach. Every appointment is treated as an opportunity to understand the full picture of a patient’s vision and to deliver care that is truly tailored to their life, their needs, and their goals.
Located at 1403 Avenue J, Brooklyn NY 11230, TK Optometry serves patients from across the borough and surrounding communities including Queens. Whether a patient is coming in for a routine eye exam, managing a chronic eye condition, or exploring specialist treatments such as myopia control, dry eye therapy, or blepharitis care, the same standard of clinical precision and personal attention is applied at every single visit.
Dr. Tatyana Katz is the founder of TK Optometry and brings nearly three decades of clinical experience to the practice. She earned her Ophthalmology degree from Tashkent Medical Institute in 1996 and practiced as a hospital ophthalmologist before relocating to the United States, where she completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry in Boston. This dual foundation — physician-level ophthalmology training combined with rigorous US optometric education — gives her a clinical depth and diagnostic perspective most optometrists simply do not have.
Following her training at Tufts Medical Center, Dr. Katz built and operated Advanced Vision Center in Massachusetts for fourteen years before relocating to New York and founding TK Optometry. She provides a wide spectrum of eye care services, from basic eye exams to the most advanced diagnostic evaluations, screening for refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, and a full range of other conditions that affect the visual system. Her approach to every case is rooted in clinical accuracy, transparent communication, and a genuine investment in each patient’s long-term eye health.
